Platform Engineering Manager at Syntasso, based in London. I co-host the Hybrid Cloud Show, a podcast on Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, homelabs and platform engineering. I also write the odd post over at shanedowling.com.

Most of my code lives on my own Gitea these days, running on my homelab. These are the few things I maintain in the open:

Apps

• assistral: a simple Android wrapper for Mistral's Le Chat
• harbour-sailreel: NewPipe-style video and audio streaming for Sailfish OS
• Katapult: my fork of the Katapult grid launcher for Android, it adds an indicator showing whether you're on a VPN

Scripts and lists

• awesome-backstage: a curated list of Backstage resources
• email-to-remarkable-sync: send PDFs to a mailbox and they turn up on your reMarkable (write-up)
• dumbphone: scripts to make your smartphone a little dumber (write-up)

Issues and PRs welcome on any of them.
