[Enhancement]: Add restart without redeploy (no git pull) option #10226

Open

Description

@kof70

Problem

Currently, the "Restart" action in Coolify triggers a full redeploy: git pull → build → restart. This is unnecessary when only a minor configuration change was made (e.g. domain name change, environment variable tweak). The forced pull adds delay and network usage for no benefit.

Expected Behavior

Two distinct actions should be available:

Action Behavior
Restart Just restart the running container(s) — no pull, no build
Redeploy Full pipeline: git pull → build → restart (current behavior)

Suggested Solution

  • Add a "Restart" button (or option in the existing button dropdown) that calls docker restart <container> directly
  • Optionally add a toggle in Advanced Settings: "Skip git pull on restart"
  • The existing deploy/redeploy button keeps its current behavior

Use Case

I changed the domain name of my application. Coolify forces a full git pull + rebuild just to apply the new reverse proxy config. A simple container restart would be enough and save minutes of waiting.

Environment

  • Coolify version: latest
